![]() ![]() I hope it is helpful to some of you who are learning the game, or just want to use some of the resources on my site. ![]() In short, you are totally okay to pass up Gods and Kings, since Brave New World contains all the changes (espionage, religion, combat, etc. The game is listed as DLC, and steam indicates that it only requires the base game to play. As such, I consulted the store page of Brave New World. It is my favorite version of the game to date, and i've played all 5 plus some of the others (like Alpha Centauri). Civilization V is a Steamworks title (i.e., all versions require Steam). Civ 5 is a deep game and I've undertaken a huge project in trying to cover all of it, but thankfully it's still fun even after hundreds of hours of play. You can leave comments on the Guide to let me know what you think or share information to help improve it for future readers. I'm working to cover every single Civ, which will take months of play on my part, so that I can provide valuable information to newcomers and allow veterans to share extra information that I may have left out. I have a Civ list with detailed information on all Civs with both DLC and all other addons that will help players select their next Civ much better than the in-game interface, which I find is very popular for the game lacks information on unique units and buildings. I'm actively developing a strategy guide to the game, which is now at over 120 pages of pure content. I am sharing my site with the Civ 5 players here to help draw attention to my effort to cover every aspect of Civ 5 gameplay.
